CORWITH, IA – The nicer weather is definitely making for some great early easter celebrations.
These kids are all excited and ready to go for their annual community Easter Egg Hunt.
Some muddy conditions in the City Park forced the hunt into a parking lot, but the kids didn’t seem to mind.
They scrambled to pick close to 600 eggs, but each child was limited to putting only 12 in their basket.

Event organizers say celebrating the holiday a day early makes perfect sense.
Community Easter Egg Hunt Organizer, Vicki Wagner said, “I think because for a small town, there’s not a lot of things going on and we do an Easter egg hunt for our children and grandchildren so it just seemed normal to do it for the city.”
She added that some of the prizes given out were donated by various community organizations, which helped to make the event that much more special.
