Ottumwa man arrested in connection to stabbing

OTTUMWA, Iowa (AP) — An Ottumwa man faces an attempted murder charge in connection with a stabbing.

The Ottumwa Police Department says 34-year-old Clint Loveall was arrested Friday after another man was found hours earlier in a vehicle with multiple stab wounds. Police say they believe the stabbing took place at a motel.

Police found the wounded man in the passenger side of a vehicle during an early Friday traffic stop. He was taken to Ottumwa Regional Health Center. His name has not been released, and his condition is not available.

Loveall is being held at the Wapello County Jail on a $25,000 bond. Court records do not list an attorney.
