Overnight Fire in Rochester

ROCHESTER, MN – An overnight fire in Rochester resulted in 16 apartments with water damage.
Shortly after 2:30 Friday morning the Rochester Fire Department responded to 902 11 Ave NW.
When they arrived, they found a fire on the 3rd floor of the high rise building and a female occupant at the window in need of rescue.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and removed the woman safety.
One occupant was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Fire damage was limited to one room, but the water damage spread to two floors.
Damage is estimated at $30,000 dollars.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
