COLD SPRING, Minn. (AP) — The widow of Cold Spring police Officer Tom Decker says the four months since he was killed have been tough to endure, but prayer and community support have helped her cope.
Alicia Decker says she still feels a jolt whenever she hears a siren. She tells the St. Cloud Times (http://on.sctimes.com/Z9hkjh ) it makes her wonder whether someone has been shot.
She hasn’t said much publicly since her husband’s death, in part because the investigation is still going on. She’s also involved in a court dispute with Tom Decker’s ex-wife over how to distribute all the donations that came in.
She says she’s grateful for the outpouring of compassion she received from law enforcement officials in Stearns County, the state and all across the nation.
