Teen Spring Driving Safety

Spring Driving

KIMT NEWS 3 – The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is reminding parents spring time is the perfect time to remind teens about safe driving habits.

As our weather begins to change so are the road conditions. And that can be dangerous for inexperienced drivers.

Local driving instructors say there are several things for teens and parents to think about when getting behind the wheel.

“Drive Pro” Owner/Instructor, Mike Ghere said, “One of the problems is they’ll take off and there’s frost on the windshield, but in the shadows you wont see it, then you’ll hit that sun, then it scatters the light and it’s just a total white-out at that time.”>

Mike add’s the most important thing for teens to remember is to first slow down and put those phones away.
