ALBERT LEA, Minn. — The construction season will be heating up in Freeborn County soon.
The Freeborn County Commissioners are awarding more than eight million dollars in contracts for road and bridge projects.
It will cover various plans all over the county, including work on County Road 22.
County leaders say they’ve been busy the past few years getting roads and bridges up to date.
“Over the past couple of years, including this construction season, we’ve been able to tackle the insufficient bridges out there and the number of insufficient bridges in Freeborn County,” Freeborn County Administrator John Kluever said. “It’s really getting down to very small numbers; we’re in very good shape.”
He praises the highway department and the commissioners for their planning and dedication to secure funds for those projects.
