AUSTIN, MN — Motorists will be pushing the break on Interstate 90 around Austin.
After experiencing some delays due to weather, construction has begun on Interstate 90 between Highway 105 and Mower County Road 19.
Motorists will find some lanes closed during the road work.
It includes concrete work to make the highway is safer for drivers.
MnDOT officials remind folks to slow down and stay focused when entering the work zone.
“There will be people working in the closed lane repairing concrete and doing other types of work there,” Project Engineer Paul Schauer said. “So we’re looking for people to slow down, especially around the work areas and be careful.”
He adds with weather permitting, the project should be complete sometime this summer.
