UPDATED: 5-Year-Old in Critical Condition After Crash

CERRO GORDO CO., IA – A Rollover crash Saturday evening has resulted in five people being hospitalized, including three children.

According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, The crash happened at 3707 Partridge Avenue at 7:41pm Saturday.  Robin Jenks, 39, of Sheffield was driving south in a 1997 Honda Accord when she lost control.  The driver and four passengers, 29-year-old Margaret Brown, 8-year-old Kyla Brown, 5-year-old Jaylan Brown, and 14-month-old Tristan Jenks, all of Sheffield, were injured and taken to Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa.  From there, Jaylan Brown had to be transferred by air to Mayo in Rochester, where a spokesman says the child is in critical condition.

The Mason City Fire Department, Rockwell-Swaledale EMT, Sheffield EMT, Sheffield Police Department, and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
