BURNSVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Burnsville High School was put on lockdown after a fight that resulted in suspensions for six students.

The school district says no students were hurt and no weapons were involved in the fight Wednesday.

In a statement, the strict says the dispute may have arisen from “a situation in the community last evening.”

The district says the fight was an isolated incident that didn’t endanger other students.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/10WbLeG) reports the school was placed on modified lockdown in which students still went to class as scheduled but weren’t allowed in the halls during class.
