CLARION, IA – The snowy weather has caused many inconveniences including delaying a local murder trial.
The Noah Crooks trial was supposed to continue this morning, but the conditions of the roads prompted Judge James Drew to cancel day 3 of the trail.
That decision didn’t just affect those involved in the trial. One local coffee shop says with the trial not in town today, business will be much slower.
“It’s pretty bare up here without that trial going on today isn’t it? You know it’s been really, really busy,” says Kathleen Fender.
The trial is expected to pick up where it left off Wednesday with the prosecution calling more witnesses to the stand. That’s expected to happen Friday morning at 9:00am. KIMT News 3 will have continuing coverage throughout the day.
