Mason City, IA – You could call it a protest.
But it’s not politics, or war, that has people fired up.
Instead, it’s May snow.
And they’re fighting Mother Nature by hanging up their shovels.
Who’s deciding to stand up against a springtime snowstorm by refusing to shovel sidewalks and driveways?
More than 60 people commented, saying they’re just not going to do it, the weather will warm up soon; let that take care of it.
But others are asking to please push that snow aside!
“I’m not shoveling that’s the first thing that came to my mind. The second thing was oh my gosh, its may second,” said Terri Whatt.
“Well it’s not just our job it’s anybody out walking their dog, or coming home from school I know there’s no school today but other things just in our job,” said City Carrier, Shelley Boyd.
Boyd adds her job isn’t very easy if the sidewalks are not shoveled.
And while it may be a pain, it’s worth it for everyone to get around safely.
