HERMANTOWN, Minn. (AP) — A 23-year-old Duluth man was arrested after being found slumped behind the wheel of his vehicle in the drive-thru lane at a Hermantown McDonald’s restaurant.
According to a Hermantown police news release, a St. Louis County sheriff’s deputy was the first on the scene and woke the driver at about 6 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the driver indicated he was OK, but appeared “out of it.”
When the deputy asked the driver where he was coming from, the man reportedly said, “Sheriff’s Office.”
The Duluth News Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/11K5Pk9 ) Hermantown officers arrived and arrested the driver on preliminary charges of gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while intoxicated.
