Minn. police expand search in missing woman case

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Eden Prairie police have closed part of a road as they expanded their search for evidence of a missing 24-year-old woman.

Mandy Marie Matula was reported missing Thursday morning after she didn’t show up for work. Police believe she was with 24-year-old David Roe in Miller Park early Thursday.

Roe had agreed to speak with police later Thursday but shot himself in the head in the parking lot. He died Saturday morning. Police say the two had a romantic relationship previously, but were not currently dating.

According to a police news release, a group searching the area near Miller Park found an unfired piece of ammunition Saturday morning. By about 4 p.m. police closed a half mile of nearby Eden Prairie Road.
