Iowa school bus with no students hits truck

GLADBROOK, Iowa (AP) — A school bus with no students onboard has been involved in a minor accident involving a truck in east central Iowa.

The Tama County Sheriff’s Office says 77-year-old Charles Delfs, of Gladbrook, was driving the bus Monday afternoon on Highway 96 near Gladbrook when he failed to yield on a left turn toward a county road.

The bus turned in front of a truck with a livestock trailer driven by 68-year-old Gregg Eldon Reisinger, of Eldora. The vehicles collided, but neither driver was injured.

Delfs was issued a citation for failure to yield upon a left turn.
