Mason City, IA – Some new art is going up around North Iowa.
One of 25 new sculptures is now in place around Mason City.
It’s an expansion of an outdoor art project in town.
But there’s still one issue that needs to be worked out: permits.
Some of the planned sculptures don’t have the proper paperwork to be installed.
However, City Administrator Brent Trout says the issue is being worked out.
“We would delay taking them to council based on the fact that two different locations and those needed to be recommended for approval rather than us bringing the whole council together for a special meeting,” said Trout.
City council members will vote Tuesday night to approve all the permits.
Then, on Thursday the rest of the sculptures will be put into place.
