Mason City, IA – It was a different kind of open house today, as a candidate for Iowa Secretary of State dropped by the Cerro Gordo County Area.
Brad Anderson is running as a democratic candidate for the position.
He’s familiar with politics, and was the State Director for Obama’s campaign.
Anderson was in Mason City this evening and says his main goal is to get Iowans to the polls.
“Having that opportunity to vote is really kind of sacred and special to people of Iowa and I take it very seriously and I think people should be encouraged to go out there and participate in their democracy,” said Anderson.
Matt Schultz is currently Iowa’s Secretary of State.
Anderson’s next stop will be the Cedar Rapids and Dubuque area.
