CLARION, IA – The murder trial of Noah Crooks began over a week ago, and it’s run into some road blocks.
It started last week, on Thursday, when snow MAYhem hit north Iowa – and forced Judge James Drew to cancel day three of the trial.
Then the next day another issue when things had to wrap up early because some witnesses couldn’t make it to the trial.
On Tuesday of this week the state and defense gave their closing arguments, and the next morning Wednesday, jury deliberations started.
The 12 people who are in-charge of deciding Noah’s fate have spent the past two days, totally more than 14 hours in deliberations.
Today was supposed to be day three of deliberations then another delay, when the Judge informed KIMT News 3 that one of the jury members was sick. Judge Drew sent the rest of the jurors home for the weekend.
Things will start back up on Monday.
