Not a typical Minnesota fishing opener

Anglers braved strong, cold winds in Albert Lea for the fishing opener, but many lakes up north are still covered in ice.

Though lakes in the southern part of the state are thawed out, this year’s fishing opener was still a little different than in year’s past.
