MASON CITY, IA – Raising money to find a cure for multiple sclerosis will be the goal this weekend at the walk m-s event in Mason City.
The walk starts at 9:00 am this Saturday on the NIACC campus. It’s one of 6 that are taking place throughout Iowa this weekend.
“It’s an event where people can come out, there’s no registration fee, we want people to come and meet others and to celebrate in their community,” says organizer Cassandra Linkenmeyer from the National MS Society
The goal is to raise $22,000 which will be put to good use.
“MS funds to go research, programs, and services for people living with MS. They also go to fun things like camps for youth and for adults,” adds Linkenmeyer.
You can still attend the event even if you haven’t pre-registered online. Feel free to show up at NIACC on Saturday morning at 9:00am and you can registered on site.
