Forest City, IA – Those in Forest City want military members to know they care.
So they’re showing it during military appreciation month in a unique way.
Community members were asked to make calls to help raise money, and depending on how much they raised, they can move up to different military “ranks”
“Just an experience that they’re giving something back doing something for the community it’s not just for family members and veterans but we would like them to get out and be more active in their community and helping people who need the help basically,” said Debra Abu- Dames, a worker at FAVA.
They are hoping to raise more than 15,000 dollars.
The event will be going on all week.
