The holiday weekend is almost here, and many of us will be hitting the road this Memorial Day.
Authorities across our area are stepping up their patrols, cracking down on drunk drivers.
So before you start your holiday celebrations, the Minnesota State Patrol is sending this reminder.
“Do not come out on the roadways with our families, your families, my families, if you are impaired. Disconnect the booze and the cars. Have a plan, we’ll all get home safe,” said Sgt. Jackie Sticha of the Minnesota State Patrol.
Officers in Minnesota will also be on the lookout for folks who aren’t wearing their seatbelts. That’s part of this month’s Click It or Ticket campaign.
