AUSTIN, MN — The steady down pour of rain isn’t stopping folks from paying tribute to those who make sacrifices for our country.
Several events were held as part of Memorial Day today in Austin.
Leaders tell us it’s important pay tribute to those who fought and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
“It’s such an honor when you see the people there,” Norm Hecimovich, President of the Memorial Day Committee said. “It’s the only day in the United States of America where we go to the cemetery and honor all people, not only the military veterans, but families.”
Norm says he is very proud to see people brave the wet weather to show their Patriotism on this special day.
