AUSTIN, MN — A southern Minnesota school district is turning to twitter, to stay in touch with parents and students.
Two employees with the Austin Public School District have started twitter accounts.
They want to use the technology to quickly keep people informed on what’s happening in the district and they’re hoping they get some followers.
“I’m very excited to be involved and I hope it spreads and we get a lot of followers,” Community Education Director Amy Baskin said. “Right now, we’re a little bit limited on the number of people who are following us. It’s brand new and people aren’t aware we are doing this yet.”
