Group will make casino recommendation to board

BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (AP) — A task force will offer its recommendation to the Riverboat Development Authority Board for a land-based casino in Davenport.

The Quad-City Times reports (http://bit.ly/18AGQXo ) the task force reviewed six proposals, with four developers following up with more information that was requested.

Board Chairman Gary Mohr says the task force on Friday will recommend a developer for further negotiations. Mohr wasn’t sure if the board would vote immediately whether to accept the recommendation or take more time.

The board is looking to find a buyer for the Rhythm City casino.
