Nashua Woman Killed in Butler County Crash

BUTLER COUNTY, IA – A Nashua woman died and three others were injured in a crash Saturday night in Butler County.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, it happened at 10:10 p.m. on Highway 3 west of Shell Rock.  49-year-old Sharon White, of Nashua, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet 2-door vehicle westbound on Highway 3 when she crossed into the path of a 2002 Chevrolet truck driven by 17-year-old Dustin Wellman, of Waverly.  White’s vehicle hit Wellman’s head-on.

White was killed in the crash.  Wellman was injured, along with 17-year-old Adrian McMullen, of Clarksville, and 14-year-old Autumn Detweiler, of Allison.  All three were taken to Waverly Health Center.  Troopers say the three injured teens were wearing seat belts but White was not.
