Coon Rapids woman dies when train hits vehicle

GRAND JUNCTION, Iowa (AP) — The Iowa State Patrol says a Coon Rapids woman died when her vehicle was struck by a train in central Iowa.

KCCI-TV reports ( ) the crash happened Sunday night about two miles east of Grand Junction in Greene County.

The state patrol says 52-year-old Kristina Becker-Duroe failed to yield at a train crossing and was hit by a Union Pacific train.

She wasn’t wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The state patrol is still investigating the crash.
