Dog Bites Child

ROCHESTER, MN – On Monday, around 4PM, a medium size black dog wearing no collar and without an owner bit a child.  The incident happened at Slatterly Park, 950 11 Ave SE in Rochester.  The dog ran up and bit the child and immediately ran off to the east towards the river.  Animal Control checked the area for the dog and could not find the animal.  They are trying to locate the dog to see if it might be infected with rabies and to determine appropriate medical treatment for the child who was bitten.
