NORTHWOOD, IA – It’s almost fair season around the area, and a local county is starting to do their last-minute preps.
But some are worried the weather may not hold up.
It will be the 135th year celebration for the Worth County Fair.
In just less than a week the fairground will be busy with family and friends stopping by for the treats and events.
Robert Hall, President of the Worth County Fair Board, is excited for the festivities to begin, but is keeping his fingers crossed that the rain we’ve been seeing lately, holds off.
“Well we hope for good weather because we want it nice, dry tractor pull and the only problem is, if we have real nice weather some people may stay home and plant beans,” said Hall.
Hall also tells us, this year, there will be a new item added to the agenda.
A “Fantasy Truck Pull” will take place Friday June 14th.
The fair starts Wednesday and lasts through Sunday.
