ALBERT LEA, MN — After being closed down due to storm damage, an Albert Lea Park is back open to the public.
Bancroft Bay Park was closed because of the May snowstorm damage.
Crews were hired to clean up all the broken trees and branches.
Park officials were worried about the public’s safety when the debris was spread throughout the park.
“Cleaning up all the hanging limbs and the downed trees,” Parks and Recreation Director Jay Hutchison said. “We had the park closed during those six to seven days they are all done and I think we opened it up last Wednesday or Thursday.”
He adds there is still some work that needs to be done in the park.
But, that those things don’t pose any dangers to the public.
