MASON CITY, IA – Those headed for the races Tuesday night, were also giving a chance to help to raise funds all for a good cause.
Besides for it being racing day at the I-35 Speedway Track, it’s also a chance to give to the “Hope and Healing” project.
Samantha Krohn and her team are raising funds to send to Faith’s Lodge in Danbury, Wisconsin.
It’s a place for parents and families to go after losing a child from a serious illness.
And for Samantha this cause sits close to home.
“My sister Natalie passed away December 29, 2012 she was nine years old and we wanted to help others who have been through a loss like we have,” said Krohn.
The group is selling t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other items to help raise the awareness.
