MASON CITY, IA – If you have a bike a group in Mason City is working to make sure you have a nice place to ride it.
They’re calling it “the Master Plan”.
And those behind the bike and pedestrian trail project are making sure they hear from the public.
Mason City is putting together several workshop meetings.
They want to meet with folks in each part of town and hear their feedback about the trail.
Martain Schukert, a Principal with RDG Planning and Design, says its important to get feedback before putting a plan into action.
“Really people who are experts on their individual areas and help steer us in the right directions, identify problems and opportunities that we can use as experience to design facilities that will help make them better,” said Schukert.
Schukert says they hope to finish the plan by the end of the year.
The next workshop will be for those living in the northeast quadrant part of town on June 12th…. at the Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church.
