CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) — A committee is seeking public donations to pay for a planned dog park in Clear Lake.
The Globe Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/19AS0fa ) the Clear Lake Park and Recreation Committee is seeking the public’s help for the park planned for the Outlet Recreation Complex.
The city plans to put in fencing and separate areas for large and small dogs as well as parking.
The committee estimates the fencing along will cost $23,000.
Donation containers have been placed around the city.
Committee president Chyrl Bergvig says organizers hope to start the project in spring 2014.
