Minnesota Man Sentenced to 12 Years

PRESTON, MN – Today, Roger Bergmann was sentenced to serve 12 years in prison. He pled guilty to attempted murder, assault and 2nd degree drug charges.

In December of 2012, Bergmann was accused of shooting a woman in the neck in Preston.  He then led police on a chase that ended in a standoff in Winona County.

Bergmann was to serve 93 months in prison for the drug charges, 61 months for the assault charge and 144 months for attempted murder.  Those sentences are to be served concurrently
