KIMT NEWS 3 – A recent poll is showing President Barack Obama’s approval rating is falling significantly.
According to recent polling, it’s dropped eight percentage points in the past month – to only 45 percent approval today.
It’s the lowest Obama’s approval rating in more than a year and a half.
And according to Dr. Eric Shoars, a political analyst, when a President hits his second term in office, it’s typical to see the numbers fall.
“He’s not new anymore, and largely there’s no reason for him to be concerned about his numbers to a degree because he’s not up for re-election. It’s his last term but it’s interesting to note how hard the president has plummeted so quickly,” said Dr. Shoars.
Dr. Shoars says the latest wave of scandals is also playing a part from the data gathering, to the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS.
Shoars says one thing driving the approval rating of the President down, is his insistence that he’s hearing about these things as we are.
