MASON CITY, IA – It’s been a month since the nuisance ordinance has been in effect in Mason City, and city leaders tell us, it’s a work in progress.
City Council members met Tuesday night and discussed some changes that had to be made to the new ordinance.
Some numbers were adjusted that were originally calculated incorrectly.
But City Administrator Brent Trout says so far things are going well.
“Well its going well we have a number of properties that we’re tracking relative to the possibility of those properties being sent a notice to abate. I have one that’s under consideration to potentially receiving a notice to abate,” said Trout.
Trout says he expects the calls to pick up more, now that summer is here.
