Social Lessons in Entrepreneurship

NIACC Students Selling Lemonade

MASON CITY, IA – It’s a friendly competition between some local students as part of a social experiment.

NIACC students were given $10 to create a lemonade stand and make as much money as possible in just a few hours.

Teams split up all over Mason City and Clear Lake to sell their products at any business of their choosing.

One student says she’s already learned a lot about the business world in just a few days.

NIACC Student, Samantha Craighton said, “It kinda shows us how to manage our money and finances and how to have a good attitude with customers and stuff and kinda shows us how to run our own business.”

All the proceeds from the project will go towards a charity of the winning teams choosing.
