AUSTIN, MN — The fight against cancer will be going to the streets next month.
The Hormel Institute, is partnering with several local groups to sponsor the third annual “Walk for a Cancer Free World” on July 5th.
It raises awareness about cancer, along with the cancer research being done at the institute.
The event also gives folks healthy tips and information they can use to lower their risk of developing cancer.
“Something fun for families and people of all ages to come out and do and learn from too,” Communications Representative Tim Ruzek said. “As far as having a healthy diet and getting exercise and learning to lower your risk of developing cancer.”
The early registration deadline for the walk is tomorrow.
