MASON CITY, IA: We now know the identity of the man law enforcement arrested Friday afternoon after a brief stand off.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force was executing a search warrant at a residence on 6th street southeast.
The suspect fled and this led to a brief standoff at a home on 5th street southeast.
Authorities say 22- year old Kenneth Alfonzo May is wanted on five outstanding warrants, which include intimidation with a dangerous weapon and serious domestic abuse assault.
He was arrested following that standoff.
He’s is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver a class C felony, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver a class D felony, possession of stolen property 3rd degree aggravated misdemeanor, possession of a stolen firearm as a felon a class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor and interference with official acts.
May is being held without bond at Cerro Gordo County Jail.
