Death of Minn. baby ruled homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities have ruled the February death of a 4-month-old Champlin girl a homicide.

The Hennepin County medical examiner identifies the victim as Madyson Lanae Johnson.

Authorities say the incident was reported on Feb. 20. The girl died just after 11 a.m. that day at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.

The medical examiner ruled the girl died of a blunt-force head injury.

WCCO-TV ( ) reports authorities are investigating the baby’s death as a homicide but did not release any suspect information.
