AUSTIN, MN — The partying on Austin’s Main Street could be put on hold.

It’s due to a lack of support.

The Austin Community Alliance and its volunteers say they could be shutting down the party.

They say they need more than five thousand dollars to keep things going for the rest of the summer.

Organizers say it’s something they don’t want to see happen because the event brings tons of entertainment and family fun to downtown.

“We just don’t want the party to end,” ACA President Kiersten Hall said. “Come out and enjoy yourself. Normally, I would tell people to bring lawn chairs, but, not next Tuesday. You’re going to be dancing. Leave the lawn chairs at home. Leave them in the car. But, come out, have fun.”

The event runs on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the heart of Spam town USA.
