MASON CITY, IA – A Mason City resident who authorities say shot his weapon toward a teenager is hearing his fate in court.
Troy Oglesby was given a sentenced of 60 days in jail with credit for time already served, placed on probation for one year, and ordered to complete 25 hours of community service.
Mason City Police say last summer Oglesby reported that his home was broken into. During their investigation, police found that the accused burglary suspect and Oglesby knew each other. And that Oglesby shot his weapon in the direction of the suspect during the getaway.
Oglesby charge was changed to intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
