CLEAR LAKE, IA – Opportunity Village will be seeing some change soon, as its CEO announces he’ll be retiring.
John Severtson has been with the organization for more than 30 years now.
He announced Monday morning that he will be retiring next may.
Severtson says it’s been a blessing to have been able to be work with those who help others.
“I’m just so grateful for the people who I work with and the outstanding board. I’m just so appreciative of the privilege of being a part of this organization,” said Severtson.
Severtson says he originally started as a fundraiser, and then worked his way up to where he is today.
