WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Police say a 2-year-old boy has been injured after falling out a second-floor window in West Des Moines.
David Edgar, an assistant chief with the West Des Moines Emergency Medical Service, tells the Des Moines Register (http://dmreg.co/18c1Rrp) that the boy was pushing on a screen of an open window about 4 p.m. Monday. The screen popped out and he fell to a driveway below.
Authorities say the boy, who wasn’t identified, was rushed to a Des Moines hospital with unspecified injuries.
The injury comes only a day after another boy fell out of a second-floor window at a Des Moines apartment complex. That child also was taken to a Des Moines hospital.
