AUSTIN, MN — Southern Minnesota organizations are teaming up to bring awareness to their waterways.
Austin Vision 2020 and the Cedar River Watershed District have teamed up to bring the community presentations on all the different waterways in Austin and Mower County.
It’s part of the first ever “Waterways Appreciation and Awareness” Month.
Leaders tell us it’s a helpful way to educate folks on what’s happening with waterways in the area.
“This is really a great opportunity for us to check in with the community and a great forum to just talk about it, take questions and get some feedback as well,” Cedar River Watershed District Project Manager Justin Hanson said.
The last presentation covered the history of Eastside Lake and the future of it.
