ALBERT LEA, MN — You might notice a few more bikes on the road over the next few days in Albert Lea.
The 2013 Harley Owners Group, or HOG, Minnesota State Rally started today.
More than 300 Harley Owners are expected to be riding into town over the next two days.
Besides events at the fairgrounds, the group will be taking adventure rides throughout the community.
Albert Lea City leaders tell us it’s a great thing for businesses in the area.
“You’re coming in, you’re staying at our hotels, and you’re eating at our restaurants, you’re going to places and attractions to see things,” Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Susie Petersen said. “It’s good not only for Albert Lea, but for the surrounding communities also benefit as well.”
She adds it’s also an opportunity to show off southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.
The event runs until Saturday.
