ALGONA, IA – Thursday in north Iowa, a production plant got a little taste of Hollywood.
A film crew of about 60 took over the DuPont pioneer production plant in Algona to shoot TV spots for the company.
The crew is made up of people from all over the country, including a producer from London.
They hired a group of local Iowa actors to appear in the spots.
But the extras, those roles went to actual employees.
“We’re fortunate here at the production plant to have 15 production employees that are serving as extras today, they’re really getting into the spirit of things,” says Lou Ireland with the DuPont Pioneer Plant
Crews tell us they will be shooting well into the night.
The spots are expected to air throughout the Midwest by august.
