The top-ranked Newman baseball team found themselves down 3-2 in the third inning against 10th-ranked Kee High, but that’s when their rally began.

After a sac fly from Joe Burgmeier, junior Peter Lapointe drove in three runs with a towering blast to right field. The homer was his second of the season, and the Knights held on to win 7-5.

Newman was scheduled to take on North Union later in the evening, but the game was called due to rain; the Knights led 1-0 at the time.
