UPDATE: No Injuries in Mason City Shooting

MASON CITY, IA – Mason City Police are investigating after a person was shot during a dispute Saturday night.

It happened around 6:30 Saturday night.  Witnesses told police a man fled the home at 309 14th Street Southeast and while he was running off, told witnesses he had shot someone inside.  Police went in and found a spent shell casing, as well as damage to the home that indicated a handgun had been fired.

After an investigation, police determined that this stems from a disturbance among a group of people, and that no one was shot.  The suspect fled and has not been identified.
