Riverland Community College Welcomes New President

Dr. Adenuga Atewologun

AUSTIN, MN – Riverland Community College has a new face leading the way.

This is the first day on the job for new Riverland Community college president Dr. Adenuga Atewologun.

He was chosen to replace outgoing interim president Kent Hanson back in March.

Atewologon most recently served as vice president and Dean at Prairie State College in Illinois.

He says he is excited to get to work.

“It’s been a meet and greet type of day,” Atewologun said. “A lot of people have been really welcoming. It’s been pleasant, the weather has been great. I’m really excited to be back here finally to start full-time.

He says filling the staff and working on ways to increase enrollment are things on his agenda and that he looks forward to working with students, staff and the community.
