ALBERT LEA, MN — City leaders in Albert Lea are asking residents to voice their opinions on next year’s budget.
The public is invited to their next work session to discuss what the city should be prioritizing for 2014.
Leaders are encouraging the residents to bring specific ideas for funding.
This is allowing the community to get involved in the budget early on.
“So this will allow the citizens am opportunity to come up in the front end of the budget planning process,” City Manager Chad Adams said. “Bring forward any ideas whether its projects, equipment or services, enhancements to certain facilities or whatever it maybe.”
Community groups requesting funding from the City’s 2014 budget should be contacting City Hall during this time.
The work session is scheduled to be held on July 8th at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
